http://www.olds.ac.uk

The Open Learning Design Studio's "Learning Design for a 21st Century Curriculum" MOOC will run from 10th January to 13th March 2013.

The Structure of the MOOC reflects a proposed process for a design inquiry project. In such a process, designers identify a (learning/curriculum) design challenge, explore it to gain an understanding of its context and driving forces, generate possible solutions, implement a solution and reflect on the process as a whole and its outputs.

This MOOC has been designed with further and higher education professionals in mind - lecturers, qualifications teams, awarding bodies, learning technologiests, library and student support staff and learning and teaching specialists - but may also be of interest to teachers (or teachers to be) in secondary schools or informal/work based learning facilitators, in fact, anyone with an interest in curriculum and learning design.

Tutoring Matching Network - MOOC Tutoring
http://www.tutormatchingservice.com/about - Tutor Matching Service was created to increase access to one-on-one education and in doing so promote student success. Tutor Matching Service was originally piloted and financially sponsored by a handful of university tutoring centers (learning centers), career centers, and student governments including IUPUI, CalTech, Purdue, NYU Poly, and Kent State University. At most colleges and universities, there is no tutoring available for upper level chemistry, physics, math, languages, and other courses. College learning centers get frequent phone calls and emails from parents looking for college tutors.Tutor Matching Service is now used by over thirty two and four-year institutions, and is financially supported by withholding a 10% booking fee from enrolled tutors (i.e., a student books an hour of tutoring at $10.00 per hour and the tutor receives $9.00. The student pays no additional taxes or fees.) If the tutor volunteers their services, there are no fees.Tutor Matching Service gives students and parents better access to affordable, high-quality private tutoring and allows tutors to focus on teaching and learning—not scheduling or payment.
