State-specific "Online Programs" Search Sites

If you are looking for online programs in a specific state or region - several states have formed statewide or regional consortiums/organizations to provide online students with the opportunity to search the online offerings of many of the state’s educational institutions in one place.
Each site differs, but in most cases – Students will either be able to connect directly with the school offering the program to enroll; enroll thru their “home” school, or enroll thru the consortium’s site.
While many of these consortiums have produced powerful resource tools for online students  - AboutEdu’s research has also found that “some” of these sites are “not as up to date” as the individual colleges themselves, or in some cases may not have the participation of some of the local schools, or the most up to date online program offerings.   Therefore, we suggest using this sites as a good starting point for specific state or regional search, but would strongly recommend going to the individual school’s website where the program you are interested is being offered, and contacting the school admissions’ office directly.  This is particularly important for individuals looking at programs that will require some “campus-based” visits/tests; “local” lab/mentor coordination; hands on clinical experience, or any other type of online and campus-based coordination.
Discontinued Online Programs: Due to recent budget cuts faced by many institutions nationwide, some of the online program offerings at these schools may have been cut for this year, and the change not yet reflected on their websites.    Even if these programs are cut, the faculty and program leaders of these programs may also provide you with good insight as to other schools in the state or region that may still be offering the program online
